Koh Tao Montra Spa and Resort

Koh Tao Montra Resort and Spa is a new resort complex situated near Mae Haad. The resort has direct access to the beach, and has two large swimming pools and an outdoor jacuzzi pool.

The resort offers peaceful, top-end air conditioned accommodation, ranging from hotel rooms to beach front villas and family suites. All rooms are clean and comfortable and have satellite TV, safe, refrigerator and minibar, with en-suite western bathroom and hot water. Koh Tao Montra offers a WiFi internet service, plus the resort has a beach facing bar-restaurant serving international and Thai cuisine and drinks.

Within 1-2 minutes walking distance of the resort there are many shops, restaurant, banks and a few bars, plus there are many taxis nearby allowing you to explore the rest of the island.

The resort is located close to the main pier in Mae Haad, and will arrange your transfer.

It's located on Mae Haad beach which just very close to the port. Lots of fishermans' boats so you couldn't or wouldn't want to swim. Sand was not white like the Sairee beach, the nearby beach. It's also not far from the main road where you can find shops, restaurants, bars, ATM's, diving shops etc

The room was very clean and spacious with a pool view. What we liked the most was the bed - very big! Nothing we would feel disappointed about the room indeed . The staffs were generally friendly and helpful, especially the waitress at the restaurant. She was so humorous ;-)

Breakfast should be lined up in buffet style but when we arrived, there're just some guests in the hotel. So we had a set breakfast instead. That's fine anyway as the staff mentioned that i can take as much as we want. The food was basic and what bothered me much was many flies that tried to join a breakfast with me;-(

There're 2 large pools and 1 outdoor jacuzzi. It's the pools that this hotel deserved a compliment. It made the hotel looked lively and especial when the beach was not nice to swim

we stayed here for just 3 nights before moving on to another island. had a lovely stay the rooms were big and clean and the staff were very friendly we had a baby in our party and they couldnt do enough to help. Breakfast was great overlooking the beach.
the pool area was kept spotlessly clean some bigger hotels should learn a lesson from them. great position near ferry and all the shops you need.
